Silent Images’ volunteers have taught their first of three journalism classes to children who have arrived to Charlotte as refugees or immigrants. The children, who were from Iraq, Haiti, Venezuela, and Vietnam, were taught photography and journalism skills and then sent home to interview and photograph someone from their family and document their journey story. The final gallery of stories and photos will be displayed in local galleries this winter.
