Silent Images’ volunteers had the honor of teaching a photography class to the students at Turning Point Academy. Each one of these students have been placed on long term suspension by CMS…and some might say that they are not worth investing into. Well, we found that to be far from the truth. The students were full of laughter, life and enthusiasm. Some come from hard homes, but their hearts are still soft and we all felt a warmth of love from each of the students. The students enjoyed learning to use their cameras, and we were able to see the students come alive with the opportunity to be creative and express themselves through their photography. Throughout 2010 and 2011, Silent Images will continue to teach the photography class and invest into the lives of these beautiful young men and women. This class was “Our Turning Point” in seeing the beautiful potential in every child.
